XC stands for lidocaine, a numbing agent in the injectable gel that reduces discomfort during treatment.
JUVÉDERM products, like VOLUMA, are formulated to reduce smile lines, marionette lines, vertical lip lines, and lines extending out from your nose and the corners of your mouth to contour the face. Your mouth is one of the first facial features people notice about you, and with smooth skin framing your smile, you can make a warm, lasting impression.
JUVÉDERM contains a modified version of hyaluronic acid, which adds volume to recessed or sagging skin. This can give your face a "lifted" appearance without undergoing plastic surgery. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that is naturally found in our skin.
RADIESSE
RADIESSE® is a non-toxic, non-allergenic filler that reduces the appearance of wrinkles and folds around the mouth and nose by replenishing collagen levels in the skin. Restylane
Restylane® is a filler containing hyaluronic acid that increases the firmness and volume of your skin. Biocompatible and biodegradable, Restylane has been safely used in the United States for nearly two decades and even longer in Europe. This product works by attracting and binding moisture as a way to plump up skin tissue. Restylane fills the space between elastin fibers and collagen so your skin appears more even and supple. This injectable can also be used to enhance your lips for a fuller, sexier pout.
Revance
Our med spa is thrilled to offer this Swiss designer-brand injectable, which is part of the RHA® Collection of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers. Revance® is known for its resiliency, meaning the filler can adapt and follow the movements your facial muscles make during the day when you laugh, squint, talk, or frown—not all fillers do this. Facial movements create what are known as dynamic wrinkles and folds, which are caused by repetitive motions. Revance is the only FDA-approved hyaluronic filler to treat this issue.

What are the side effects?
Injectables can cause mild side effects, like itching, swelling, bruising, or redness. These fade quickly. Dr. Benjamin Boudreaux and Dr. Jeffrey Claiborne, our skilled plastic surgeons, will do everything to prevent bruising and other side effects resulting from filler injections.
What will my results be like?
Our board-certified doctors have years of top-level education, training, and experience when it comes to injections of dermal fillers. Their keen eye for aesthetics will give you the most natural-looking cosmetic facial enhancements possible.
Does the injection hurt?
Our surgeons use a special tool at our New Orleans practice that vibrates your skin during an injection. This tricks the brain into registering very little pain. A prescription topical numbing agent will also be applied to your face for extra comfort.
What if I decide I don't like my filler?
A. You will not have to live with a permanent change to your appearance if you decide fillers are no longer for you. Hyaluronic acid-based fillers, like JUVÉDERM and Restylane, can be dissolved by Dr. Boudreaux or Dr. Claiborne during another brief procedure at our Northshore office. Other types will safely dissolve on their own over time. We can discuss all your options before beginning a filler regimen based on your preferences for aesthetics and reversibility.
