How Do These Injectables Work?
BOTOX and Dysport injections can substantially reduce wrinkles that result from underlying muscle contractions. These injections work by blocking signals from the nerves to the muscles. This prevents the muscles at the injection site from contracting. Since the muscles remain relaxed, wrinkles in the area are smoothed, creating a more youthful appearance.
BOTOX and Dysport injections work best for wrinkles caused by contracting muscles, such as those along your brow, between your eyes, and in the outer corners of your eyelids. They can also treat a gummy smile by relaxing the upper lip, allowing it to cover more of your excess gum tissue.

Best botox injector by far is Kim Fuarino! My brows didn't drop. I didn't look angry. Just perfect. She takes her time, gets into the muscle and knows how to inject to get the best results. I have been going to NS for 10 years, sometimes going elsewhere just do to trying to get in. The Treatment Process
When you come to our practice for BOTOX or Dysport injections, you can expect the following:
We use a special vibrating tool that minimizes pain at the injection site. We also offer a topical numbing agent.
Although both BOTOX Cosmetic and Dysport inject the same compound, botulinum toxin, there are a few key differences between the two injectables. Dysport contains a protein with a smaller circumference, which allows it to spread further from the injection site. Due to the wider spread of Dysport, patients can expect a softer result and a reduced risk of a frozen or unnatural look. BOTOX, with its larger-sized molecules, expands over a smaller area. This means that BOTOX can more effectively treat the most stubborn and deep furrows that can substantially detract from a youthful appearance. Xeomin® is another botulinum toxin treatment. However, we do not offer Xeomin at our New Orleans practice.
When Will I See the Results?
How Long Do Results Last?
The results of BOTOX Cosmetic should last for about three to four months, after which time you can return to our office for periodic touch-ups. Dysport has a similar lifespan, but the results can last at least two weeks longer than BOTOX Cosmetic injections.
